The initial consultation begins with a comprehensive gathering of information to best understand your circumstances. For more in-depth evaluation, lab studies that often include tests not usually offered by conventional medicine physicians, may be suggested. In partnership with you and in consideration of your goals, we create a plan that supports your journey toward optimal health and wellness.

The fees include the considerable time Dr. Bayliss will spend PRIOR to your visit reviewing the comprehensive health history, intake questionnaires, and any previous medical records or lab results that are sent by your medical providers to create context for your consultation. Dr. Bayliss also spends considerable time after your visit attending to details of test orders, supplement orders, compiling pertinent educational materials and creating a detailed visit summary with an outline of next steps.
It is expected that patients will follow through with at least one additional appointment after the initial consultation, usually to review laboratory tests and to develop a more detailed plan. Both the initial consultation and follow up appointments generally run 1.5-2 hours each.
Fees are stratified according to the complexity of your health issues and encompass the first two consultation appointments. If you decide to not return, you may ask for a 30% return of your fee.
Dr. Bayliss never wants financial hardship to be a barrier. If this is an area of need, please let her know. She is open to working with you to ensure her fee fits your individual circumstances.

Messaging and Phone Calls
Dr. Bayliss likes to stay connected with her patients. Sometimes the easiest way to do that for both parties is through phone calls, or voice or text messages, when needed. If these contacts relate to clarifying previous visits or questions that are easy to address, they are complementary.
Concerns that are more involved may require significant follow-up time by Dr. Bayliss. Time spent will be billed at the rate of $100 per hour. Or she may request that you make an appointment to address the issue. In either case, Dr. Bayliss will advise you of a plan and gain your agreement so that you do not have unexpected charges.
Any laboratory or other diagnostic tests that are ordered are billed separately and are NOT included in consultation fees.
We are sorry, but Dr. Bayliss does not participate in any insurance plans and does not file insurance forms. We can provide you with an invoice that you may submit to your insurance carrier. Many lab expenses are typically covered by your insurance company. Some specialized lab testing may not be covered. HSA and FSA accounts may be used.
